I like that you not only bring up the inevitability of problems in life, but also that we must be in the middle of them to learn from them. Sometimes parents want to open you up to the world just enough to show how scary it is, hoping it helps keep you in line, but then don’t do enough to help you cope with and and learn to problem solve on your own.

I really like your point that people will turn to authors on social media, because that shows that writing is still important but it just has to fit the popular way of getting it to the people, in this case websites like Twitter and Instagram.

Monique, your entire poem painted a beautiful vivid description of home and the people there. I can relate to the last few lines of the poem as well, the lifestyle changes that either we or our parents experienced when moving to a new country.

Despite our different locations within it, your poem makes me feel like we both love the city for the same reasons. Its always nice to see someone else sharing about their ADHD, I hope you’ve found your balance with it, I know it can be tough.
