I want to congratulate everyone who has completed this course during such a tumultuous and stressful time. Your ability to do this demonstrates self-discipline, focus, and dedication to your own academic goals. I have especially enjoyed this semester’s discussion board, and I thank you all for your generous, thoughtful, and often quite personal responses to the weekly questions. I have learned a lot from you.
I wish you all the best as you continue your studies, I hope you can rest a bit during the semester break. Enjoy the holidays! See below for important information regarding BMCC’s CR/NC (Credit/No Credit) grading policy.
By now you have received information regarding BMCC’s NC/CR (Credit/No Credit) policy, which has been reinstated for this semester. Please be sure to read this important information.
Here are the basics:
CR (Credit)
Students have the option to take CR (Credit) if their earned grade is B+ through D-.
NC (No Credit)
Students have the option to take NC (No Credit) if their earned grade is F. A grade of WU cannot be changed to NC (No Credit).
How to apply for a CR (Credit) or NC (No Credit) grade:
• Students must first consult with a BMCC adviser. These grades (like all others) have an impact on the bigger picture, including financial aid and degree completion. Students need to be fully informed before making the decision.
• After speaking to an adviser, students must request this change themselves. Students can do this between December 23, 2020 through January 15, 2021.
• Directions for how to request a grade of CR (Credit) or NC (No Credit) is included in the information sent by BMCC to all students.
