Audacity 3.2 Update

The 3.2 update (September 2022) is a major update to the Audacity software. It includes updates to the visual design of the app, the ability to add real-time effects to tracks and share audio for free right from Audacity.

Cloud Sharing with Audio.com

Part of the 3.2 update is a built-in Share Audio button that is directly linked to audio.com. Audio.com is a free audio sharing site that allows anyone to create a free account and share audio files.

In order to share through audacity, you will need to

  1. create a free account on audio.com
  2. Click the Share Audio button in Audacity
  3. Click the Link Account button and link the auido.com account

After you set it up once, you can then share any file.

It is important to note that you can only upload files you create with content you have license to use. This fits our project as you’re required to only use sounds you create or have license to use.

You are all encouraged to update your copy of Audacity to 3.2 and try this feature by sharing your project through audio.com and then posting your link to our Discord server.
