There is a video on youtube that is called “Kids meets a gender non-conforming person. The video is about kids asking questions and being educated by a non-conforming. Nanta would begin to talk about gender non-conforming and gender nonbinary, some of the kids get confused and wants to be educated more while others support are interested in the topic and ask questions to Nanta about life being non-conforming. They would also ask kids questions about what makes a person identify as a male or female, during the video the kids were confused but they explains more about hearing the terms pink is a girl’s color and blue is a boy’s color. It’s interesting for the kids to learn about non-conforming and nonbinary along with sharing their own opinions and thoughts about non-conforming.

Hello Alexandra! It seems like a really interesting video. I love that kids are much less judgmental than adults and they ask a lot of questions out of curiosity. I feel like kids are very supporting and understanding because they don’t have strong beliefs yet. It’s so sad when they are raised in problematic, hateful, households.
Hi Alexandra, Just as you describe it, the video seems very interesting to me, since many children say that they become racists at an early age, for not explaining things well to them or even because they see that a child is different from them and begin to be comments that even though it is not their intention they become negative against others. But despite that, I really liked the purpose of how the children in the video are told that there is something beyond just “woman” and “man”.
Hey Alexandra, this is proof that hate is taught. Nobody is born with a hatred for a specific group of people. They learn from the people around them. Children are naturally very curious and love to learn new things. And if all children had the opportunity to learn more about things they didn’t understand, the world would be a better place.
Alexandra, thank you for sharing. The way you described the video was on point. I believe children should learn more about what is a gender non-conforming person. The exposure helps children open themselves up to think differently and accept people for who they are without questioning it
