Heylee Soto
After studying the assignment for this week I learned a lot. I learned that the Women’s Suffrage Movement gave women the right to vote in elections during the late 19th century. Women organizations nationally and even globally formed efforts to gain voting and equal civil rights for women which relates to feminism. “White feminist “Black feminist”. This is why I found bells meaning of feminism and how there should be an end to discrimination.
The fact that women didn’t have the right to vote till late 19 century is crazy. If women had a voice in politics way before things could’ve been different, economy could’ve been different. I still find it bizarre we haven’t even had one Female president elected in U.S history .
Hello Soto, Your post is so straight to the point! It is crazy to think that women did not get their all rights until a certain time. The right to vote is so normal and peaceful that I don’t know why women were not included. This is all because of the male domination in our society and how people used to think that women are not smart enough to have their decisions when it comes to politics.
Hi Haylee,
I like how this class allowed me to truly understand what activism is. It made me realize the importance of it as well how impactful it can be when done right. Activism has been around for so long and it is the exact reason why we have certain rights today like being able to vote.
