The actual context described in the article is equally relevant even to date despite the fact that it was written so many years back and that many things have changed including some societal aspects which have been foreseen to be so different than the past years. It is evident in the current times that different households are being faced with the same problems they used to face in the past times in that they have been delegated to perform all house chores all alone without being assisted by their husbands even in matters of parenting. I have noticed several women complaining of their husbands saying that household duties are meant for women and that it is their responsibility and that they cannot by any chance carry out women roles since they have the notion that household chores are made for women and not male. Mainardi has provided so many illustrations that describe the same thing as such arguments in so many ways throughout her article. Looking deeply into Koedt’s arguments and views about sexuality is true in relating it to today’s life on the fact that men usually foresee sexual act is a way of satisfying themselves only and that women are only objects of giving them pleasure. This can be related to porn industry where a clear evidence on this illustration can be found. Men only go to look for women once they have the desire and once they are done with them that becomes the end of it all. Sex has become man centered without putting into consideration what the female gender goes through and the burden they encounter in this sexual acts. It is hard to believe how some people take the wickedness of the female gender to exploit them sexually and in other ways as in the whole article. This is equally unfair and at some point may cause a lot of frustrations to the female gender.
