I believe liberated women are those who refer themselves as feminist who support and fight for equality for women. The second wave women’s right movement impacted in women’s experience such as work, family, sexuality and politics. The women liberation increased their fight in the 1970 gender discrimination is banned in most education departments. Liberated women worked more on freedoms that were based on desires. Women protested ideas that were traditional as pants, natural makeup, and beauty. The meaning to “the personal is political” is that women liberation isn’t political because of men. A liberated women is free from societies sexist being enforced. Both articles were interesting, “the Politics of Housework” is more of personal and sexual view in households which is “personal is political”. They did what they pleased and what they did what was best for themselves. In article “The Myth of Vaginal orgasm” Anne explains women having orgasms. While men have way more satisfaction than women who have more steps to being pleased.

Hi jasmine, I was not aware of the second wave of women’s rights. I did know but I didn’t know they were classified into groups. The first wave I guess would include the women’s suffrage movement. The third wave would be women of today not getting equal rights. I agree that “The politics of Housework” is personal and political.
Hi Jazmine,
I do agree that liberated women are feminists that fight for women’s rights. This fight can go as far as going against social norms. A liberated woman does not confine herself to the restraints that society places on her. The second reading that talks about orgasms gives more insight on how uneducated men tend to be towards women’s sexual pleasure.
Hey Jazmine, I believe the definition of personal is political has everything to do with men. The reason why our relationships can be political is because women and men usually have two different mindsets. One may think liberated women are great while the other can think a women should abide by traditional roles. This causes political debates between the two. I do agree that liberated women are feminist, but in a controversial way.
Hello Jazmine, I do agree that liberated women are feminist fighting for their rights, trying to achieve the equality of women.
I agree with your statement and also, think that we’ve come a long way from what we first testified against.
