I am a member of Fountain House in New York City. There, I provide IT support, teach digital literacy, help members who want to learn or go back to school, give tours of Fountain House, and more. I’ve given tours to various donors, funders, and politicians, including NYC Mayor Eric Adams and New York State Congressman Jerry Nadler. Being a part of the Fountain House community has given me the opportunity to connect with people from other clubhouses and all walks of life.
My favorite hobbies are 3D printing and 3D modeling. I taught myself by using the 3D printer at Fountain House and eventually, I bought parts and built my own 3D printer. It took several hours but putting it together helped me gain the knowledge to repair it myself whenever necessary. Recently, I finished teaching a 5-week class on 3D printing and designing at Fountain House.
I am currently working towards an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Computer Information Systems, and I plan to later pursue a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
I aspire to work as a Mechanical Engineer, utilizing my skills to design and develop innovative products that significantly enhance the quality of life for others.
