Project Description
Having conducted in my career many symphonies by a wide variety of composers, I have composed a piece that embodies one of the most impactful aspects of the best of those works: a sequence of musical sections that create in the audience a series of feelings or moods, in this case taking the listener on an emotional ride beginning with confusion, moving to depression, then to a glimmer of hope, and ending with elation.

The piece I composed is entitled Four Moods for Orchestra (Symphony No. 1). It has four movements, entitled Confusion, Depression, A Glimmer of Hope, and Elation. Total duration is just over 48 minutes.
