Pseudoviruses are a solution to this limitation and allow scientists to work with them in a biosafety laboratory level 2. In this project, we explore the applications of pseudoviruses, how they can be produced and the limitations of these models. We discuss several viruses for which pseudoviral models have been created including, severe acute respiratory coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
