Please note that you have the entire week to write this exam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Due date: Sunday, midnight, 3\/22\/2026.<\/mark><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>How to submit your exam<\/strong>: write (or save) your exam as a Microsoft Word document (.DOC file). Upload your exam on the bottom of this page, just like you would upload Reading Response Papers (or quiz). <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">NOTE: Exams submitted as PDF documents will NOT be read<\/mark>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>GRADING: <\/strong>Your exam will be graded as follows: each question is worth 20 points, 5 x 20 = 100 points in total.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>RETURNING YOUR EXAM: <\/strong>Your graded exam will be returned to you via email.<strong> <\/strong><mark style=\"background-color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\"><strong>You must include your email on your exam paper. Otherwise<\/strong>, <strong>I will use the email address you have on record in Brightspace.<\/strong><\/mark> <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME and EMAIL ADDRESS ON YOUR EXAM, AS WELL.<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Note: this is an open book and open notes\/videos exam (just like our quiz was). This means, when answering the questions, you can use all of the materials available on our class website. However, <em>you must not use any outside information. Any outside information will be not given credit. Also, everything in your answers must be in your own words.<\/em><\/strong> No quotes from any of the readings or videos (you must paraphrase, put everything in your own words).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Note 2:<mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> Your answers to the questions on this exam, are supposed to be in short essay format. <strong>This means the typical answer should be in the range of 1 double-spaced page. <\/strong>If your answer for any question is 2-3 sentences long, you are not writing enough.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Lastly, don&#8217;t use ChatGPT to complete your answers. Answers that draw on outside sources will not receive any credit.<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WRITE &#8211; Exam Questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In your own words, describe what Althusser meant by <strong>ideology<\/strong>. Give one example of such ideology. NOTE: your answer should be based on the video we discussed in Module 3.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>2. What is the difference between <strong>labor<\/strong> and <strong>labor power<\/strong>? Give an example of each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. What is the difference between C-M-C and M-C-M&#8217;? In other words, explain what each mean and how they are different from each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. According to <em>Federalist #10<\/em>, what is the source of wealth among people?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Discuss <strong>two characteristics of Federalism<\/strong>, as presented in our reading in Module 7.
