In this first discussion board of our course, let\u2019s introduce ourselves to each other, by doing the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create your introduction by entering text in the comments box below. When you finish writing your introduction, click the &#8220;REPLY&#8221; button. In your introduction, tell us <strong>your name<\/strong>, what is your <strong>major<\/strong> (if you have chosen one), as well as a bit about <strong>yourself<\/strong>. Things you might consider sharing include: what are you interested in studying at BMCC, what are your plans after BMCC, interests that you have, etc.<\/li><li>After entering your own post, respond to at least two classmates by elaborating on something that they wrote that resonated and connected with you.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before posting, watch this video, which will show you how to post your answer to this discussion board. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">NOTE: ignore the dates discussed in the video (as they are from a previous semester), as well as the specifics content (it says Discussion Forum 2 in the video, but that&#8217;s just an example. You&#8217;ll be using this approach to answer all discussion boards this semester):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"POL 100 (OL) - How to Write Discussion Board Posts\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K6zsVNRthXQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NOTE: Once you&#8217;ve scheduled your post to be published on at midnight on Sunday, you can still go back and edit your post until then, if you want to rewrite and\/or add to your post.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a review, follow the following steps to submit your response<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click on the <strong>&#8220;+&#8221; button in the black bar at the top of the screen<\/strong><\/li><li>Type a title for the post (it should include your full name)<\/li><li>Type your response<\/li><li>On the right side, click on <strong>Categories: and check &#8220;Discussion Board 1&#8221;<\/strong><\/li><li><em>Impor<\/em>tant: On the right side, at the top: click on the date next to <strong>Publish<\/strong>, and enter your post date, which is next coming Thursday, at 11:59pm.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Publish <\/strong> and you&#8217;re done.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What will happen next is your post will automatically be published by the OpenLab system on Thursday at midnight. The goal here is for all student posts to be published at the same deadline.
