It can affect our opinions about government, money, education, and social issues. For example, someone may believe the government should help people who are struggling, while someone else may believe people should take more responsibility for themselves. These different beliefs are part of their ideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-purple-background-color has-background has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Conservatives and liberals have different ideas about government and society. Conservatives usually support less government, individual responsibility, and traditional values. Liberals usually support more government programs, equality, and social change. For example, liberals may support higher taxes to provide more government programs, while conservatives may want lower taxes and less government involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-purple-background-color has-background has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">I understand Althusser\u2019s idea of ideology as the beliefs and ideas that influence how we see the world and our place in society. Sometimes we accept these ideas without questioning them. For example, society may make us believe that having a good job and making a lot of money means someone is successful.
