These beliefs can come from how we were raised, our experiences, and the people around us, but we can also develop or change our own beliefs.

For example, two people may have different opinions about vaccines. One may believe they are helpful, while another may believe they are harmful. Their different beliefs can come from their experiences, background, or the information they have learned. That doesnt mean one is right and then the other isn’t. I just understand that every opinion comes from the way they were influenced.

I think ideology can change over time because people can learn new things and hear different perspectives. This can change how they think about society, government, education, and other issues.

2. Conservative and Liberal Ideology

For me, the main difference between conservative and liberal ideology is how they view government, equality, and social change. Conservatives tend to value tradition, individual responsibility, religion, and limited government, while liberals tend to focus more on social equality, government support, and social change. For example, when it comes to poverty, conservatives may focus more on individual responsibility, while liberals may focus more on how people who are disadvantaged may need support from the government. I think this difference in how they view equality and social change is one of the main dividing lines between conservatives and liberals.

3. Althusser’s Definition of Ideology

I understand Althusser’s definition of ideology as the idea that our beliefs and the way we see the world are shaped by society. We can be influenced by our family, school, religion, and other parts of society. For example, children can learn their parents’ beliefs at home and learn different ideas at school. But I believe as they grow older, they may begin to question these beliefs and decide what they believe for themselves. In my opinion, this shows that society can shape our ideology, but our beliefs can also change as we have new experiences and learn different perspectives.

1.
