Similarities and differences in how social class is discussed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Readings 4.1 and 4.2 talk about how social class shapes people\u2019s lives. They both show that class affects opportunities like jobs, housing, and education. A similarity is that both readings show how the rich have many advantages, while the poor face struggles and fewer chances. This makes clear that class is not only about money but also about what doors are open or closed to people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A difference is in how each reading talks about class. Reading 4.1 focuses more on everyday life and how class is seen in neighborhoods and daily choices. Reading 4.2 looks more at the bigger picture, like politics, laws, and the economy, and how these systems keep class divisions in place. Together, the two readings help us see that class is both personal and structural.
