Do you want to create an e-portfolio but don\u2019t know how to start?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are four steps that will help you get better prepared for it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEP 1: DEFINE YOUR SHORT BIO<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Write one or two paragraphs presenting more details about what makes you stand out, your top skills, your values, and your personal goals. You can follow this structure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am passionate about [THINGS YOU LIKE TO DO]. Today, I study [YOUR MAJOR] at Borough of Manhattan Community College. With my [YOUR SKILLS AND VALUES], I aim to [DESCRIBE YOUR GOALS].<\/span><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
After doing it, choose an image to represent you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pro tip: <\/strong>avoid photos that you feel are too personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STEP 2: CREATE A ONE-PAGE RESUME<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
List your learning journey, skills, work experience, and achievements on one page. You can see some examples here.<\/a> After doing that, create a PDF document for it. You\u2019ll be able to embed it in your e-portfolio later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STEP 3: FOCUS ON ONE THING TO HIGHLIGHT<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Choose one thing to showcase with more details and write one or two paragraphs about it. You can choose a course you\u2019ve taken in your learning journey, a specific work experience, or a personal project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pro tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Be creative and present your project as if you were telling a story. You can explain your challenges and the skills you used to reach your goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Images and videos are highly recommended \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n
