While most of these formats have been used for centuries, digital fabrication tools have made some of these structures easier and cheaper than ever to produce. You could prototype any of projects\/templates on this page and then create multiples by using an inkjet printer, laser cutter, or vinyl cutter (all available free of use in the <a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu\/makerspace\">BMCC Makerspace<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ZINES <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The word &#8220;zine&#8221; is usually used to describe a DIY publication for a small\/niche audience. The simplicity and scale is what makes it beautiful&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.editionsdesgrandespersonnes.com\/portfolio_page\/plat-du-jour-anne-brugni-philippe-ug-et-mcloud-zicmuse-octobre-2019\/\">\u201cPlat Du Jour\u201d by Philippe UG and Anne Brugni<\/a> has some great examples of stacked V-folds with attached elements.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/raymarshall.com\/portfolio\/\">\u201cPaper Blossoms: A Book of Beautiful Bouquets for the Table\u201d<\/a> by Ray Marshall. Nice concept: book can be used as a displayable sculpture.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/800597\">\u201cSix Brave Explorers: A Pop-Up Book\u201d<\/a> by Kees Moerbeek &amp; Carla Kees. Almost the same pop up each time, but the characters\/different illustrations is what makes it so fun!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kellianderson.com\/books\/alphabetinmotion.html\">&#8220;Alphabet in Motion&#8221; <\/a>by Kelli Anderson. One of the best paper engineers working today. This book is a feat of paper engineering (and a great typography guide to boot). Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kellianderson\/?hl=en\">Kelli on IG<\/a> &#8211; she is based in Brooklyn, NY and often holds great workshops, events etc. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simonarizpe.com\/#\/stranger-things-popup-book\/\">&#8220;Stranger Things&#8221;<\/a> by Simon Arizpe &#8211; one of the leading paper engineers in the US today.
