The background image was taken during one of my walks. The leaves in the upper right corner and the empty space in the lower left reminded me of the elegance of a flamingo, which this composition complements perfectly. It also reflects the state of mind I had when capturing the photo\u2014similar to the flamingo in the work, quietly lost in its own solitude. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flamingo itself comes from an online resource with a Creative Commons license. https:\/\/www.publicdomainpictures.net\/cn\/view-image.php?image=95179&picture<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this compositing work \u201cThe Lost Flamingo\u201d<\/em>, I applied the following tools: Color Channel, Drop Shadow, Gradient, Marquee Tool, Layer Mask, and Global Refinements (Feather and Shift Edge).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary challenge in creating this piece was achieving a seamless integration of the flamingo with the background. Even so, I learned a great deal throughout the process. Working through each issue step by step ultimately shaped and completed the final piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
