Project Title: Backyard Soundscape

For this project, I recorded different natural and everyday sounds from my new backyard, including birds, possible cicadas, a dog, a train, an airplane, and people working inside the house. I chose this location because it’s my new home, and I wanted to capture the feeling of being there. I combined around 5–6 audio clips and removed unwanted noises like the sound from pressing the record button and loud voices that didn’t fit. The most challenging part was making the cuts sound smooth, but I fixed that by carefully lining up the clips so there were no harsh pauses.
