You will start by creating a storyboard to plan your sequence &#8211; use <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1cEdLId_6jZ96u4AOcwX6w6SYbNWmxHwC\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this template<\/a>. Make a composition in After Effects that is 10 seconds long, with the HDTV 1080 29,97 preset. Your composition should include solids, text, and shape layers. Animate some of these properties: opacity, position, scale and rotation. After you have completed and saved your project, add it to the Render Queue and render it out to Quicktime (.mov) and MP4.<\/p>\n<p>Fall 2023: After Effects doesn&#8217;t support rendering MP4 anymore, it should be done with Adobe Media Encoder, but the lab computers don&#8217;t have compatible versions of the Adobe software, so if you can&#8217;t use Adobe Media Encoder, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/new.express.adobe.com\/tools\/convert-to-mp4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adobe Express Cloud Convert<\/a> website to convert the .mov file from After Effects to a .mp4 file to post on Open Lab.<\/p>\n<p>Here are two examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/249525380\">https:\/\/vimeo.com\/249525380<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/249095449\">https:\/\/vimeo.com\/249095449<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upload the following to blackboard:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The After Effects project file (.aep)<\/li>\n<li>Story board file.<\/li>\n<li>Create an open lab post with the MP4 file embedded and a short statement.
