Each media module has a background part where you learn about the media and a hands-on part where you create a project with that media. You show you learned the background with a quiz (each 3% of the total grade) and a project (each worth 11% of the total grade). Each module is about 4 class periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MEDIA MODULES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Audio<\/strong>: Project (11%), Quiz (5% changed )<\/li><li><strong>Images<\/strong>: Project (11%), Quiz (5% changed)<\/li><li><strong>Animation<\/strong>: Project (11%), Quiz (0 None given)<\/li><li><strong>Web Design<\/strong>: Project (11%), Quiz (5% changed)<\/li><li><strong>Programming<\/strong>: Project (11%), Quiz 0 none given)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>note: there were only three quizzes so the amounts for each quiz has changed but the overall portion of the grade that applied to quizzes (15%) remains the same.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FINAL PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will bring together media you learned in the other modules. There will be a planning assignment where you describe what you&#8217;re going to do. There is no final quiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Final<\/strong>: Plan (3%) Project (17%)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participation and Teacher Evaluation<\/strong> (10%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be participating in activities in the synchronous part of class and discussion boards. Your participation in these will be 10% of your overall grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Being Preapred<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to learn, participate and make the most out of the class you need to be set up to learn which includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Internet Connection<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Computer<\/strong>: must be able to install and run Zoom (camera, mic, speakers) and Adobe Software. In a hands-on class, students will learn the essentials of program design and authoring software in an integrated computer environment. Students will learn how to combine graphics, audio and text to create programs for industrial and educational applications.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Plus Prof Stein&#8217;s Additional<\/strong><br>This class is designed to give you an introduction to how digital media works and give you the skills to create intro-level projects. You don&#8217;t need prior experience. The goal is to get you to have fun and experiment and learn how to express yourself with: digital audio and images, animation, web design and programming.
