Final Course Completion Information – Weeks #13, 14 & 15<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dear MMA 235 Students,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The end of the semester is upon us… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is the final semester wrap up and course completion information in advance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please read this information carefully and mark your calendars accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Wednesday May 6th<\/span><\/strong> – Semester wrap up discussion, this will be a full working lab session \/ class time will recap assignment #3, the final portfolio creation & submission and printing your editorial projects (if you wish).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. Wednesday May 13th <\/strong><\/span>– this will be our last regular class \/ lab working session. We will use this class session to discuss and share a demonstration on how you can create a final portfolio with Adobe Illustrator (saved as a single file PDF) the portfolio will display and organize all of your completed works. The final portfolio is our last Assignment – it is mandatory –<\/strong> I will also show you how to organize your google drive assignment folders (as a review) as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Wednesday May 20th<\/strong><\/span>– from 4pm – 7pm (final exams week)<\/strong> if you wish, you may come into class and present your final portfolio – this is our last and final meeting for the semester – It is not mandatory to present your final portfolio to the class – but highly encouraged – please join us! You can choose to show your work on the big screen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    ***Extra Credit Opportunity: Open Creative Project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As we wrap up the semester, you will have the opportunity to earn extra credit by proposing and completing a self-initiated design project. This is your chance to expand on skills you\u2019ve developed this semester or explore a new direction connected to graphic design. Your project can take any form \u2014 a poster, zine, brand concept, experimental typography, motion graphic, or something completely new. You must submit a short project proposal (2\u20133 sentences) for approval before you begin. Final work will be evaluated based on creativity, craftsmanship, and how thoughtfully you push your ideas beyond the foundation level. Let’s see how you can take what you\u2019ve learned and make it your own!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    ****All students will need to have all completed work added to their individual google drive folders no later than Friday 5\/22 at 6pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    ***Submitting all of your completed assignments<\/strong> & final portfolio<\/strong>– I know I have mentioned this many many times through out the semester, but all student work needs to be submitted via our shared Google Drive Folder – the link to the shared folder is located on our class’s Brightspace <\/strong>page- You must share all of your production files that include the adobe photoshop files – .psd and all illustrator files – .ai – you can also share any . JPG files and your illustrator work as PDF files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
