Write a proposal that outlines your plans for the magazine and design sample pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Proposal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Write a proposal with the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Magazine name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subject matters covered by the magazine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular sections\/ departments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Market\/Target audience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competition&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Title of Cover story for the first issue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dimensions of the magazine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visual design approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research and Content<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspect magazines of similar content and visual approach as the one you intend to use. Save clippings or screenshots of examples that resonate with you or inspire you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gather content. Write article titles for your sample magazine. You need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a list of articles for the table of content, and some (possibly) to be featured on the cover. The articles should fit into the magazine sections or be featured articles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>content for the article spread, at the minimum, headings, pull quotes and captions. Body text can be dummy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Design a typographic scheme for the magazine. This should include typeface, style, weight, size, leading and alignment for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subheading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>body text<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pull quotes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Captions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Design sample layouts for the following pages<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Magazine cover (includes a logo design)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Table of content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sample article spread<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>All these pages must display a cohesive design<\/strong> <strong>and personality<\/strong>, including a consistent typographic scheme, unified approach to imagery and general layout (consistent page size, margins, spacing and folio.
