Mi pasant\u00eda fue una experiencia muy interesante y importante. Fue my primera experiencia trabajando\/hacer una pasant\u00eda como traductora per puedo decir que me disfrut\u00e9 mucho. Siempre trato de no tener expectaciones antes de hacer algo nuevo pero el trabajo de un\/a traductor\/a es como lo imagin\u00e9. Hacer mi pasant\u00eda con el Spanish Institute fue muy agradable – los empleados fueron amables, respetuosos y atentos y me dieron la oportunidad de crecer de persona y profesionalmente. Algo que valoro es que pod\u00eda incluir mi lengua materna aleman en mi trabajo y que tambi\u00e9n pod\u00eda mejorar mi espa\u00f1ol. Mi horaria de trabajo fue muy flexible que fue un desaf\u00edo a veces. Sab\u00eda que trabajar\u00eda cuatro horas cada d\u00eda, entonces tratar\u00e9 de vencer este desaf\u00edo por despertarme temprano, prepararme por el trabajo desde casa y hacer una lista de que quer\u00eda traducir este d\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s me ayud\u00f3 hacer un seguimiento de las horas que trabaj\u00e9 y los descanso que tom\u00e9. Una lecci\u00f3n que aprend\u00ed es que una traducci\u00f3n no puede ser perfecta desde el principio – reescribir y releer es normal y necesario. Aparte de eso, no es una pena si no s\u00e9 algo (sobre la compa\u00f1\u00eda o una palabra) – preguntar mis compa\u00f1eros del trabajo esta bien. Por fin, miro hacia el futuro y otra pasant\u00eda porque me di cuenta que este trabajo de traductora es algo que me gusta hacer mucho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My internship was a very interesting and important experience. It was my first working experience as an intern and in the field of translation but I can say that I really enjoyed it. I always try not to have expectations before doing something new but the work as a translator is how I imagined it. Interning with the Spanish Institute was very pleasant – the staff was very nice, respectful and helpful and gave me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Something that I value a lot is that I got to include my native language German in my work and that I was also able to improve my Spanish language skills. My working schedule was very flexible which was a little challenge some days. I know I would work four hours daily and so I tried to overcome this challenge by waking up early, getting ready to work from home and making a list of what I want to get done that day. It also always helped to write down the times I worked and breaks I took. A lesson that I learned is that the translation can not be perfect since the beginning – rewriting and rereading is ok and necessary. Also, it is not a shame if I do not know something (e.g. about the company or words) – asking question to coworkers is fine. Finally, I am really looking forward to another translation internship in the future as I noticed that this job is one that I enjoy doing a lot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
