Each student must actively participate in the discussion and will be called on. The session will be structured and assessed as follows (also see <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1GXGMIbGHs-VrsMkWS0Q_4Sbo8BaUETPZgPvHP6Jsbmw\/edit?usp=sharing\">grading rubric here<\/a>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Points will be deducted for late arrival to the session.<\/li>\n<li>Streaming of\u00a0 a &#8220;surprise&#8221; (not revealed on the class website) short film at the beginning of class.<\/li>\n<li>Each student will answer a series of the post-screening written questions to prepare for the discussion.<\/li>\n<li>We will generate a review with AI in-class.<\/li>\n<li>All the students will participate in an in-class discussion to enhance, rebuke, counter etc. the AI review. All students must actively participate and offer convincing arguments.<\/li>\n<li>All students must have their camera on for the entirety of the discussion.<\/li>\n<li>Each student will submit a revised written review using the facts and arguments developed during the discussion. (200-500 words). <span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">The use of generative AI is <strong>not<\/strong> allowed for this written summary.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Students absent that day will need to complete the review (on a different &#8220;surprise&#8221;) film, one-on-one with the Professor, on Zoom, outside of class. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On week 7, every student will participate in an in-class\/live review which will count towards 15% of their final grade for the class.
