Hello everyone, my name is Zeting Xu. I chose this course because I wanted to learn 3D animation. I hope there will be more employment options in the future, whether it is movies, animation or games, these are all very interesting options.I really like an anime called Attack on Titan from Japan. People who don’t know much about anime may mistakenly think that this is an anime about passionate battles. In fact, it is based on the theme of freedom and explores human nature, war and love. Perhaps only when the number of humans is reduced to one will human struggles and contradictions disappear. Despite this, this anime still hopes that everyone will oppose the war. Although the struggle between humans never stops. But love and peace will not disappear.

JOURNAL ENTRY – WEEK 1
My name is Darryl Burns. I picked this course because I’ve always had an interest in art and animation but I did not feel as though I had the talent or patience for it. My favorite genre of animation to watch is usually anime but I do have a appreciation for sprite animation as well. My major is computer science and as for career goals, I’m still trying to figure those out as I go. My hobbies consists of drawing, watching anime, working on youtube videos, and playing games with friends. What I enjoy most nowadays is introducing friends of mine to a few series that I’ve seen throughout the years like one of my favorite anime movies called Redline.
Hello, my name is Janeth Pu. I picked this course because of my interest in wanting to learn more about the history of animation, as I’ve seen so many retrospectives and historic videos about how animation came to be and how some movies/shows were made during their production. Really, I don’t have a particular genre of animation that I want to learn as long as it’s interesting for me to get invested in the topic. My Major is Animation and Motion Graphics, A.S. as I aspire to become an artist or an animator in the future as my career. I consider myself to be an artist that draws traditionally as I post some of my drawings up on my twitter, recently I’ve decided to draw pixel art and it has been extremely fun to do even with a small canvas!
Hi! my Name is Tatiana and i am a Theatre major, My freshmen year i was Studying acting and Theatre production, I Always had had a dream of doing Acting as a kid but morely joined Theatre for design. I’m fighting between what i want to do once i graduate but i have a big love for Fashion design, Writing, and any other Theatre design. i Chose animation because its really interesting to see how it functions and the history about it, i love watching short films or seeing animated movies i’ve seen this summer has made me want to look and get ideas for my future projects!
My name is Krystalee Enderica, i picked this course because im interested in how 2d animation evolved throughout the years, for me is amazing how people can create movies and films and having to draw their expressions one by one, the patience used to create something, also because i want to become an 2d animator and i feel like in this course i will learn a lot. im interested in learning about the animation of Hayao Miyazaki, he is just simply amazing, the way his films create a nostalgic feeling to it alongside the music and how beautiful his backgrounds are. My major is Animation and Motion Graphics. my career goal is to become a 2D animator, like i said before i love how 2d animation flows well and feel smooth to watch unlike 3d.

Hi, my name is Sofia. I picked this course because it is a required course for obtaining my degree this spring; I am also taking this course because I am always interested in learning anything I can about my passion, which is animation. The genre of animation that I am the most interested in is Japanese anime (in the form of digital 2D frame-by-frame animation; I’m generally uninterested in the use of tweening for character animation). I’m interested in learning more about the history of anime so that I can expand my knowledge of anime even further. I also would just like to learn more about the history of all kinds of animation in general because animation is one of the things I absolutely love the most in life. I am an Animation and Motion Graphics major, and my career goals include making connections and hopping from project to project in the realm of being a 2D character animator; working on both anime and video game development. I hope to continue on to another school after obtaining my Associate’s degree this spring so that I may go on to obtain my BFA. My favorite drink is Dr.Pepper; I love video games (some of my favorite franchises including Zelda, Tales, and Monster Hunter) and anime. I play the Pokemon TCG and overall just love puzzles and strategy in general. I play the recorder, shinobue, ocarina, and trumpet, and I have an adorable dog named Bailey! (she’s a national treasure. Hello, my name is Daphne and I chose this course because it seemed interesting and it also fulfills my requirements. I am excited to learn about all types of animation but I really love stop motion and am excited to learn about that in particular. I am a studio art major and I don’t know what I plan on doing with that. but I guess only time will tell. I have an orange tabby cat named Leon and hes the most precious cat on the planet. We enjoy going on walks together and he naps next to me every night.

Picking my favorite tv shows and films has always been hard for me so I guess I will list my top 5 in no particular order and pick my top one to talk about. My favorite films are: Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Last Unicorn, Tangled & The Little Mermaid. My favorite TV show would be Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir. The animation is nowhere near great and is sometimes very stiff and ridiculous, but it holds a special place in my heart. Miraculous has gone through many animation studios including SAMG Entertainment, Symbiosis Studio and Gravity Animation Inc. This show was created by Jeremy Zag and debuted back in October of 2015 in France.
I am an animation major and I enjoy art, cosplaying, and 2d animating on my own time. I enjoy cosplaying on my own time and dress up as characters I love in shows and movies and I enjoy going to cons even though they make me go broke lolll. I enjoy 2d animation because the style and the fact that I feel like you can do a lot more with it than 3d. Ive been doing art since I was 4 years old and ever since then I knew this was my passion.
