Corporate media differs from mass media, in that corporate media is produced for a specific population, as opposed to the mass public. Corporate media can be produced for internal use by employees or participants of a particular company (such as Chase Bank) , an institution (such as BMCC), a facility (such as Montefiore Hospital), an agency (such as Planned Parenthood) and\/or a governmental or public service department (such as the Los Angeles Fire Department). Corporate media can also be produced for people attending specific events, such as car shows, industry conferences and concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BMCC\u2019s website is part of mass media because is appears on the internet and anyone in the world (the mass public) can access it. The media that appears on the monitors in the halls of BMCC is an example of corporate media. These visual announcements are made specifically for BMCC\u2019s students and faculty and can only be viewed on the BMCC campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
