About Me

Academic Interests

My research explores the links between literature and LGBTQ activism in Latin America, with a focus on the Southern Cone from the 1960s through the 1990s. I am specifically interested in the ways in which queer communities plotted their own planetary coordinates beyond national culture and territory through novels, poems, chronicles as a result of their displacement from their homeland’s norms and imaginaries. I also researches how different Latin(x) American LGBTQ movements interacted with one another, the transnational networks they developed, and the kind of cosmopolitics/internationalism they engaged in.
