Summarize the contributions of Émile Durkheim, Max Weber, and Karl Marx to the field of sociology. Be sure to note any theoretical differences they may have had with one another.
Emile Durkheim – Theory
Emile Durkheim was a French sociologist he worked on a book of theory , he was one of the founding fathers or sociology. He wasn’t much of a traveler what he did was study the work of anthropologist traveler and other missionaries. He developed two theories one is “The sacred” and the “Totemism” . The sacred in his beliefs having faith in like a god and Totemism is you having relationship with a spirit being like an animal or a plant which is a different entity.
Karl Marx – Theory
Karl Marx was a german revolutionary, sociologist an economist and historian as well as a philanthropist . Marx was against exploitation but was also having a hard time keeping a job. He developed a theory called “historical materialism” min which he believed social, morality and religion reviled around the economy and how it was the center of all those movements.
Max Weber – Theory
Max Weber was german sociologist , philosopher, and political economist. He wrote a thesis call the ” Protestant ethic”, sociologist theory that attached hard work , efficiency whatever you were meant to become through hard work. Weber was into the Sociology of actions. He wrote numerous of books and essays , he also helped established western institutions by focusing on rationalism he says rationalism is that regards reason as the primary source or knowledge.

Karl Marx believed that society grew and change through struggles and that Combe’s theory won’t work. He believed that social conflicts changed society which is one of the methods that stills being used today.
Max Weber believed that it will be hard to use standard scientific methods to accurately predict the behavior of groups.
Emile Durkheim believes that society moved from a primitive state to a capitalist. He also believed that sociologist should study objectives.

Emile Durkheim is a French 19th century sociologist who focused on the norms, values and structures of society. His theory is collective consciousness, values and rules are critical to a functional society.
Karl Marx is a German sociologist who believed that one’s social class determined one’s social lifestyle. His theory was called “historical materialism”where religion, morality, social structure and other things are all rooted in economics.
Max Weeber is a German sociologist who’s theory is the basis for the systematic formation of any organization and designed to ensure efficiency and economic effectiveness.
