She is also a deputy chair in the Department of Speech, Communications, and Theatre Arts. Outside of BMCC, Dr. Waychoff is the chair of the National Women&#8217;s Studies Association Community College Caucus, a member of the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault Faculty Advisory Board, and the general co-editor of <em>Women&#8217;s\u00a0Studies\u00a0Quarterly<\/em>. Dr. Waychoff&#8217;s research uses performance as a method for exploring questions of gender justice. She has been a guest artist at institutions across the US and abroad.
