HOW TO POST<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Conversation Time forum is a major part of the work in this course. In most cases, I will pose a question or issue to you, and then you will respond to me and to your classmates. You are responsible for posting one enormous post<\/mark> to the initial prompt<\/strong> and at least 1 reply to a classmate<\/mark><\/strong> for each of the assigned posts. You can complete the posts any day of the week as long as you do so by the deadline: 11:59pm <\/strong>on the following day of class after it\u2019s been assigned. Please see additional guidelines below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can write your post by going to the plus sign<\/strong><\/mark> at the top of the site > type a title* and type the body of your post > choose the category \u201cConversation Time\u00a0 __\u201d with the corresponding number for the Conversation on the right on the right > publish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Please use the title format \u201c[FirstName] [LastName] Conversation __\u201d (insert corresponding discussion number)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to add a photo or video or other media, click on the \u201cAdd Media\u201d button above the text box. You can then upload the file. Click on \u201cInsert into Post\u201d on the bottom right of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you publish your post, you will have to select a category. Please select ONE category. Do not make your post sticky<\/strong>\u2013 see below<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submit your comment on the post of a classmate by selecting the title of the post > scroll down to where you leave a reply > type the comment > post comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To submit your Conversation response, click \u201cLeave a comment\u201d below the week\u2019s post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To post your replies to classmates, click on \u201cReply\u201d below their post.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

WHAT TO POST<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An\u00a0enormous\u00a0<\/strong>post\u00a0is your\u00a0original response\u00a0to my prompt. It must be at least\u00a0150 words, and is worth 75 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\u00a0reply to classmate<\/strong>\u00a0is your response to a classmate\u2019s post. Imagine you are chatting with them and do so in at least 50 words. The reply is worth 25 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All posts should be courteous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feel free to post as many replies to classmates as you like. After you complete your reply of 50+ words, your other replies can be as short, or as long, as you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will receive full credit (100 points) for each post (1 enormous post + 1 reply to a classmate) if you fulfill all of the above requirements. I will deduct points if your posts are: too short, show little thought, are excessively sloppy in terms of grammar, s\/ incomplete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No late replies to classmates will be accepted. If you submit your enormous post after the due date, the highest score you can receive is a 70. <\/strong>Why? Because no one returns to conversations that ended, right?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
