I have chosen &#8220;White Lies&#8221; by Natasha Trethewey. in &#8220;White Lies&#8221; I thought it was funny because throughout the poem she explaining she only lying to feel good about herself by saying things like &#8220;I could easily tell the white folks\u00a0that we lived uptown,\u00a0not in that pink and green\u00a0shanty-fled shotgun section\u00a0along the tracks.
