Dear Teacher Education Student,<\/p>\n

The department has again received a grant to provide waivers so that you can be fingerprinted via the DOE.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you are transferring to a School of Education, you will need to get fingerprinted before you can begin taking class\u00a0in\u00a0a CUNY 4 year school of education.\u00a0 The cost of\u00a0fingerprinting\u00a0is normally $135.00.\u00a0If you are interested in taking advantage of the free\u00a0fingerprinting\u00a0please follow the steps below:<\/p>\n

Begin by creating a TEACH account:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/strong>–<\/p>\n

  1. Fill out the attached PETS registration form and email it to Diana Garcia at\u00a0\u00a0dianaassistantbmcc@gmail.com<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. You will receive a fee waiver via email.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. We will enter you into the DOE system and\u00a0\u00a0you will receive a nomination email<\/li>\n
    2. The email will read \u201ccongratulations you have been nominated for a position\u201d- You have not been hired by DOE- your nomination refers to\u00a0fingerprintingto do your fieldwork<\/li>\n
    3. Please click on the applicant gateway link in the email<\/li>\n
    4. Confirm the details of your profile<\/li>\n
    5. Submit any required forms<\/li>\n
    6. Click on the fingerprint referral form<\/li>\n
    7. Enter and\/or confirm info required<\/li>\n
    8. Print the fingerprint referral form<\/li>\n
    9. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Email\u00a0HRCServiceCenter@schools.nyc.gov<\/strong><\/a>after completing their online forms. DOE checks to see that nominations are in place and forms are fully completed; if those requirements are met the students are then emailed a link to our booking page to schedule a fingerprint appointment.<\/li>\n
    10. \u00a0Book an appointment to get fingerprinted<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Step 3- Done at 65 Court Street<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Gather your fingerprint referral form<\/li>\n
      2. Gather the BMCC waiver letter<\/li>\n
      3. Gather your BMCC id card<\/li>\n
      4. Gather a government issued photo ID (drivers licenses, passport etc)<\/li>\n
      5. Bring all above items to:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        65 Court Street, Brooklyn NY<\/p>\n

        only go during your scheduled appointment time<\/p>\n

        1. When you return please send a picture of your receipt to dianaassistantbmcc@gmail.com<\/a><\/li>\n
        2. Hold on to your receipt so that you can prove you were fingerprinted going forward<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
