For each reaction paper,\u00a0students will write at least a full,\u00a01-page paper\u00a0(at least\u00a0350\u00a0words), formatted professionally\u00a0(Times New Roman,\u00a012\u00a0point,\u00a0double spaced font).\u00a0For each reaction paper,\u00a0students will use at least one source of material from the current week in combination with one source of information from a previous week.\u00a0Using the chosen materials as a foundation,\u00a0students should discuss how what they have learned helps inform their current learning,\u00a0what aspects of the material was challenging and why,\u00a0whether they found the information interesting or new\u00a0(or why not),\u00a0and how they believe what they have learned will assist them as they progress into their careers.\u00a0Students should strive to make a deep,\u00a0significant,\u00a0personal connection with the material presented in class.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Assessment of Competency: <\/strong>Points possible:\u00a050 (5% of course grade)<\/p>\r\n<p>Reaction papers will be assessed based upon the following standards:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Mastery Level<\/strong>: 45-50 points (90% or higher)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To achieve Mastery Level status, this assignment must:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">1. Be submitted on time, in Blackboard.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">2. Be formatted in Word or PDF, using Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>3. Be at least 1 full page.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>4. Contain detailed, clear, and specific responses to all of the prompts listed in the instructions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>5. Contain few, if any, grammatical, spelling, or other writing errors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Expertise Level<\/strong>: 40-44 points (80-88%)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>To achieve Expertise Level status, this assignment must:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>1. Be submitted in Blackboard.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>2. Be formatted in Word or PDF, using Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>3. Be at least 1 full page.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>4. Contain detailed, clear, and specific responses to most of the prompts listed in the instructions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>5. Be submitted in Blackboard.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>2. Be formatted in Word or PDF.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>3. Be at least 3\/4 a page.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>4.
