It&#8217;s a way to form a question in a way that incriminates the person being asked. It puts a person in a lose-lose situation. Almost like a way of tricking a person into an admission of guilt. The goal of the questioner is to deliberately make the answerer appear guilty. For example, think of the ole &#8220;<em>does this dress make me look fat<\/em>&#8221; scenario. It&#8217;s a winless response, because if a woman is asking that question, more likely she&#8217;s aware that she gained weight, and is very much aware that the weight gain is visually obvious. If the guy responds no, he&#8217;s lying and guilty for not being honest.
