For instance, two shootings happened on the same day, one was from an officer who shot a man who he thought had a gun and was aiming at him and the other was a subway shooting that took the life of one and wounded 5 others. Even though the other articles don’t match what happened each of the articles has at least some violence may it be physical violence or verbal violence, take the case of Donald Trump it isn’t physical violence but people are trying to get the identities of the witnesses when they are supposed to be anonymous, then there is the physical violence which shows in the Indian university and the Russian drone bombing. These articles may not be the same as in shooting or stabbing but they show a theme of violence. This does not mean that the stories next week or the week after that won’t be different from this week but it does help us identify what is becoming increasingly common and what is dying down.

Oliver Nicol February 15, 2024 Professor Margaryan https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/09/us/politics/witnesses-trump-classified-documents-case.html This article discusses the prosecutors in the Donald Trump classified document case who are trying hard to keep their witnesses ’ identities a secret. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/10/world/russia-drone-strike-kharkiv-ukraine.html This article talks about how the Russian drone strikes are affecting Ukraine and about one of the explosions igniting a neighborhood on… Read More »Short Assignment #1

[7

post-518","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-student-work
["GET
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/crj-102-criminology-spring-2024-margaryan/wp-json/wp/v2/comments?post=518
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/crj-102-criminology-spring-2024-margaryan/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/518/revisions
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/crj-102-criminology-spring-2024-margaryan/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/518/revisions/521
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/crj-102-criminology-spring-2024-margaryan/wp-json/wp/v2/media?parent=518
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/crj-102-criminology-spring-2024-margaryan/wp-json/wp/v2/categories?post=518
