Gary Meegan mentioned that there are &#8220;many<br>definitions&#8221; for the term critical thinking. Before defining critical thinking clearly himself, he<br>quotes Dr. Richardson Paul said; &#8220;critical thinking is an art of analyzing and evaluating thinking<br>with a view to improving it&#8221;. Gary says &#8220;thinking critically is an art&#8221;. He mentions that time and<br>required as well as practice in order to achieve critical thinking. &#8220;Critical thinking looks for<br>artifacts of reasoning, from how a person writes or talks or acts&#8221;.<br>Jesse Richardson begins by recommending that instead of telling adolescence what to think, we<br>should teach them. Jesse doesn&#8217;t necessarily define critical thinking however, he tells us to<br>&#8220;never trust critical thinking&#8221;. He tells us to &#8221; never trust a brain, especially your own&#8221;. Thinking<br>critically requires creativity and Jesse&#8217;s opinion. &#8220;Critical thinking teaches us how to question<br>rigorously&#8221;. I would agree with Gary that art is involved. The mind allows us to have a more<br>meaningful and clearer picture of what it is to picture something. There could be &#8220;many<br>definitions&#8221; due to the idea that we all have unique brains. I would also agree with Jesse who<br>has a close definition. Creativity is just like art.
