The <strong>CUNY Cultural Corps<\/strong> is what you&#8217;ve been looking for!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cuny.edu\/academics\/current-initiatives\/cultural-corps\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cuny.edu\/academics\/current-initiatives\/cultural-corps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CUNY Cultural Corps<\/a>, you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Work at a major NYC cultural institution<\/strong> (museums, theaters, libraries, and more).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get paid<\/strong> <strong>$20\/hr <\/strong>while building your r\u00e9sum\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Earn internship credit<\/strong> if you also enroll in <strong>MEA 371<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> October 21, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zoom Info Session:<\/strong> October 3, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST \ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/cuny.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/BKZT1PyOT7OT9bFiXfqHjA#\/registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">RSVP here<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Don\u2019t miss this opportunity to build your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and get your foot in the door at some of the most respected cultural organizations in New York City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Easier to land than corporate internships<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve been hesitant about applying for internships because you\u2019re worried you don\u2019t have what they&#8217;re looking for this is the program for you. The requirements are simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A r\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two short-answer responses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15 credits completed + 2.5 GPA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No prior paid internship experience while a CUNY student (SYEP doensn&#8217;t count)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s it. And since it\u2019s open <strong>only to CUNY students<\/strong> who have no prior paid internship experience, your chances of being selected are much higher than if you were competing for corporate internships across NYC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When is it?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You apply now in Fall 2025 and <strong>work 12 weeks in Spring 2026 from March through May.<\/strong> This is a part-time job at 15hrs per week. Your exact schedule is worked out with the institution you&#8217;re working at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can you work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are often over 80 partner institutions. Some examples are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Asian American Arts Alliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El Museo del Barrio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intrepid Sea, Air &amp; Space Museum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Museum of the Moving Image<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Metropolitan Museum of Art<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The New York Botanical Garden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Whitney Museum of American Art<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do I fit in?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a number of types of jobs organized into departments. Most ANI, MMD and VAT students find relevant opportunities in the <strong>Communications and Marketing<\/strong> department.
