Regardless of for-profit or not-for-profit status, size of the organization, and type of product or service sold, each organization aims to do things as efficiently and as effectively as possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Unit 12: Introduction to Human Resources<\/strong>, we will explore the HR function and seek to understand the importance, structure, and responsibilities of Human Resources. There are several aspects of HR we will identify and discuss: staffing, training and professional development, safety, benefits &amp; compensation, diversity &amp; inclusion, and employee and labor relations \u2014 we already learned a bit about employee relations when we discussed <strong>Ethics<\/strong> earlier in the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the Segment F links in our <a href=\"https:\/\/openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu\/bus-104-a050-intro-to-business-professor-buckler-fall-2022\/about-this-class\/schedule\/\"><strong>Course Schedule<\/strong><\/a> to access our Course Materials and Assignments for this unit.
