Get a Library Card<\/h2>\n

Anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or pays property taxes in New York State can get a Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) library card. You can apply online<\/a> to receive a Welcome Card, which gives you immediate access to the library\u2019s digital collections and some other resources<\/a>. You can then visit a branch within 60 days, present a government-issued ID that shows your name and current address<\/a>, and receive a full-access library card<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Explore the BPL\u2019s Collection<\/h2>\n

Search the BPL\u2019s catalog for books<\/a>, movies on DVD<\/a>, and music and other recordings on CD<\/a>. These materials can be checked out from one of the BPL\u2019s many locations<\/a>. When using the catalog, be sure to check which location or locations hold the item you want to check out.<\/p>\n
