Both students and instructors can choose to receive a periodic summary or instant information about activity in your courses via email and\/or text message. <mdspan datatext=\"el1706221324152\" class=\"mdspan-comment\">You can also use Notifications in conjunction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.brightspace.com\/pulse\/launch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pulse app<\/a><\/mdspan>, Brightspace\u2019s app for mobile devices.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized has-custom-border\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"271\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu\/bmcc-lms-transition\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3331\/2023\/12\/Screenshot-2023-12-18-at-2.26.03\u202fPM.png\" alt=\"screen shot of drop-down menu found by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of the Brightspace home screen\" class=\"wp-image-605\" style=\"border-width:1px;width:211px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To edit your notification settings, click on your name at the upper right of any Brightspace page and <mdspan datatext=\"el1706221499524\" class=\"mdspan-comment\">select <strong>Notifications<\/strong> from the drop-down menu.<\/mdspan><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under <strong>Contact Methods<\/strong>, you will find your @login.cuny.edu email address (i.e, your CUNYFirst ID) and will not have an option to change this. Email sent to this address should be forwarded to your primary campus email address.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scrolling down to Instant Notifications, you will find a number of course activities for which you can choose to receive notifications.
