{"id":1262,"date":"2024-07-17T14:24:52","date_gmt":"2024-07-17T18:24:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu\/bmcc-lms-transition\/?p=1262"},"modified":"2025-01-31T14:59:50","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T19:59:50","slug":"extra-credit-assignments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu\/bmcc-lms-transition\/2024\/07\/17\/extra-credit-assignments\/","title":{"rendered":"Extra Credit Assignments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Brightspace, extra credit assignments are referred to as <strong>bonus items.<\/strong> Bonus items are added on top of the calculated grade &#8211; they are not included in the maximum points for a category or final grade.\u00a0Bonus items cannot make users\u2019 grades exceed the maximum points specified, unless the <strong>Can Exceed<\/strong> option is selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bonus items are designated by a star in <strong>Manage Grades<\/strong>.
