Eligibility
To receive ASAP financial support for your Winter 2026 course, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Actively participate in the ASAP program.
- Register for an approved Winter course by Dec 12th:
•The course must be approved by your ASAP Advisor and satisfy a program requirement according to Degreeworks.
•Dropping or not attending the course will cancel your award. - Complete all financial aid requirements:
•Submit the 2025–2026 FAFSA and TAP applications.
•If you’re a non-FAFSA filer, apply for TAP through the NYS Dream Act
•Complete all financial aid tasks listed on your CUNYfirst To Do list
Timeline
- ASAP Winter Scholarship:
- Amount: Covers the cost of Winter tuition not already covered by financial aid
- First Disbursement: January 8, 2026
- ASAP Winter Books:
- Amount: $100
- Direct Deposit Date: January 9, 2026
- Mailed Check: Week of January 16, 2026
- Transportation:
- OMNY Pass: Active for 21 days (01/02/26-01/22/26)
If you did not receive funding according to the dates above, it may be due to one (or more) of the following reasons:
1. Late registration (After Dec 12th)
2. Course not approved by ASAP Advisor
2. Did not complete financial aid requirements
3. Did not set up direct deposit
4. Entered incorrect mailing address
