Fall 2024 ASAP Textbook Assistance

As an ASAP student, you will receive textbook assistance to help reduce the cost of textbooks, course materials, and supplies. For Fall 2024, the textbook funding is: $250.00.

FALL 2024 TEXTBOOK ASSISTANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be an active BMCC ASAP student
  2. Enrolled for the Fall 2024 semester
  3. Completed the 2024-2025 FAFSA and TAP applications (or TAP through the NYS DREAM Act)

Important: If you are unable to complete the FAFSA/TAP or NYS DREAM Act applications, please email us at ASAPfinaid@bmcc.cuny.edu.

HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR TEXTBOOK FUNDS:

If you meet the above eligibility requirements, you will receive your $250 ASAP Book funding via Direct Deposit or a Mailed Check. 

  • Direct Deposit: If you signed up for CUNY Direct Deposit via CUNYfirst, your textbook funds will be disbursed to a bank account of your choice. Click HERE for a guide on how to set up direct deposit.
  • Mailed Check: If you did not set up CUNY Direct Deposit, the textbook funds will instead be mailed to your mailing address reported on your CUNYfirst account. Click HERE for a guide on how to update your mailing address.

WHEN TO EXPECT YOUR TEXTBOOK FUNDS TO BE DISBURSED:

  • Direct Deposit: September 6th (09/06/2024)
  • Mailed Check: Week of September 13th (09/13/2024)

Possible Reasons for Delayed Payment:

If you did not receive your book funding according to the dates above, it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. Late registration
2. Did not file for financial aid 
3. Did not set up direct deposit
4. Entered incorrect mailing address
5. Late enrollment to ASAP

Although your book funding may be delayed, you will receive the funds as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. Email us at ASAPfinaid@bmcc.cuny.edu to inquire about the status of your book funds.
