The fact that a flour sack&#8217;s design is very simple is key: we cannot rely on facial features or elaborate limbs. Are your movements fast, slow, tentative, assured etc.?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As usual, apply the <strong>12 principles<\/strong> of animation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For inspiration on conveying emotion through motion, look at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wTIkvwwC23A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Dudok de Wit&#8217;s <em>Father and Daughter<\/em> (2000)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FI0T0Oj7WFE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pixar&#8217;s <em>Luxo Jr<\/em> (1986)<\/a>, and the Magic Carpet in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0eWUhXPhIaE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this sequence from Disney&#8217;s <em>Aladdin<\/em> (1992)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Format<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the following file format: 24fps, width: 1920px | height: 1080px.&nbsp;Save your .fla file and export your animation to Quicktime (review exporting instructions on the <a href=\"http:\/\/openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu\/ani-260-fall-2023\/week-2\/\">week 2 page<\/a>). Upload your animation to Vimeo or Youtube<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Submission<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Create a new post on your Open Lab portfolio.
