Enfrent\u00e1ndome al Manual<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comenc\u00e9 la traducci\u00f3n del Manual de Capacitaci\u00f3n del Centro de Acci\u00f3n del Tribunal de Reclamos Menores invadida de entusiasmo. Era tanto el \u00edmpetu que traduje unas 19 p\u00e1ginas la primera noche que tuve aquel documento en mis manos.  Me propuse a m\u00ed misma hacerlo como en la antig\u00fcedad. Es decir, sin ayuda de alg\u00fan traductor autom\u00e1tico pues creo firmemente que esto contribuye a mejorar mi pr\u00e1ctica como traductora. Me parece que la adrenalina producida por la intensidad de mi \u00e1nimo no me permiti\u00f3 saber a ciencia cierta cu\u00e1n agotador puede ser esto. Me desvel\u00e9 totalmente y despu\u00e9s no pude conciliar el sue\u00f1o, as\u00ed que al otro d\u00eda ca\u00ed en los brazos de Morfeo como un lir\u00f3n en su mejor invierno. En consecuencia, no trabaj\u00e9 en el proyecto ese y los dos d\u00edas siguientes. Necesitaba recuperarme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pese a que las primeras hojas traducidas no requirieron el uso de un lenguaje complejo, despu\u00e9s de esa marat\u00f3nica amanecida y los resultados provocados en mi cuerpo, he decidido ir m\u00e1s despacio con el trabajo. Afortunadamente la organizaci\u00f3n para la que trabajo no me dio una fecha l\u00edmite de entrega. La coordinadora incluso me dijo que podr\u00eda traducir la cantidad que pudiera durante el semestre. Por supuesto, pretendo traducir el manual completo. Despu\u00e9s de todo, 70 p\u00e1ginas no es tanto y mi objetivo es continuar colaborando con la instituci\u00f3n despu\u00e9s de terminado el semestre. Ojal\u00e1 esto [pueda ser posible, ya que estoy convencida que la organizaci\u00f3n hace un trabajo loable y muy necesario y es gratificante ser parte de eso. No obstante, me preocupa el hecho de no tener alguien que pueda opinar sobre el resultado de lo que he hecho hasta ahora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing the Manual<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I began the translation of the Small Claims Court Action Center Training Manual invaded with enthusiasm. It was so much momentum that I translated about 19 pages the first night I had that document in my hands. I set out to do it myself, as in ancient times. I mean, without the help of some machine translator because I firmly believe that this contributes to improving my practice as a translator. It seems to me that the adrenaline produced by the intensity of my mood did not allow me to know for sure how exhausting this can be. I totally woke up and then couldn\u2019t sleep, so the next day I fell into Morpheus’ arms like a dormouse in his best winter. So, I didn\u2019t work on the project that and the next two days. I needed to recover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the first translated sheets did not require the use of a complex language, after that dawn marathon and the results provoked in my body, I decided to go slower with the work. Fortunately, the organization I work for did not give me a deadline. The coordinator even told me that I could translate as much as I could during the semester. Of course, I intend to translate the entire manual. After all, 70 pages is not so much and my goal is to continue collaborating with the institution after the semester is over. Hopefully, this can be possible, as I am convinced that the organization does a commendable and very necessary job and it is gratifying to be part of that. However, I am concerned that I do not have anyone to have an opinion on the outcome of what I have done so far.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
