Scroll down until you reach the instructions for the test: Try this one: \u201cWrite every other word in this first line and print every third word in same line (original type smaller and first line ended at comma) but capitalize the fifth word that you write.\u201d Take the test that follows\u2013write down your answers on your device or on a piece of paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How did you do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activity 5<\/strong>: A masterpiece,&nbsp;<em>Black Boy<\/em>&nbsp;is writer Richard Wright\u2019s autobiography, about&nbsp;life in America during the first half of the 20th century.&nbsp;This selection, \u201cThe Library Card,\u201d reveals the frightening experience he underwent in order to access books at the library.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Listen to \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vxRZrTEZ--I\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The library card<\/a>\u201d by Richard Right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background-dim\"><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Activity 6: Post 7<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer at least 3 of the questions below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Has the Black community truly been afforded equal access to literacy necessary to be successful in contemporary America? By whom? Against whom? Reference at least 2 of this week\u2019s course materials.<\/li><li>Discuss your experience of taking one of the literacy tests from Activity 4. Provide examples of questions and your responses.<\/li><li>How can we help establish more equality for the Black\/ African-American community in the US?<\/li><li>What is the argument in the article titled \u201cWith COVID, the African-American Literacy Crisis will get much worse\u201d?
