In the video I learned that technology is advanced for many people now no it\u2019s harder to navigate like for example his grandma use to use the controller from from to to right now she has to use a menu and it\u2019s taking her a couple weeks to learn . Using a phone you have to numerical navigate. People start creating their own ideas such as memes. In dawn if new literatures juts says different techniques people use. More advanced. More digital technology. It talks about teachers helping students understand reading and writing and the importance of it. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How can we apply Szwed\u2019s and Perry\u2019s definitions of literacy as we study new literacies? There\u2019s different type of literacies. Such as economic,poverty, violence, etc, technology. Literacy practices are patterned by social institutions and power relationships and some literacies become more dominant, visible and influential than others. Literacy standards created by opinions, ideas, data, statements and they serve everyone were all part of literacy, we all create literacy according to Perry . Szwed is based on us learning from one another.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are some \u201cnew literacies\u201d\u00a0that have helped you with your schooling? Explain.\u00a0 Some new liters it\u2019s that helped me would be slide shows, the internet because it helps me Google any words or information I need and slideshows because it helps me understand my taste snd re-read information I need and keeps the information I need without it getting deleted. Annotating has helped me rewrite information in my own words to understand the meaning of a sentence and understand it\u2019s main idea. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you ever had to help someone with technology (new literacies) who was not tech savvy? What was that experience like?\u00a0 yes I have helped somebody with technology and that would be my mom, the experience was complicated I had to translate everything on the screen from English to Spanish because she wanted her English to get better. I had to show her what each stuff were and what the little details meant such as history,copy-paste, the basics etc. I had to repeat myself plenty of times because she was forget. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is ONE \u201cnew literacies\u201d that you cannot live without? One literacy I probably can\u2019t live without would be my phone due to my phone helps me navigate my way around the city what train or what direction I have to go. Being able to Google information I need. Being able to call or answer important phone calls.
